RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services
worldwide, announced today that Clint Fuhrman, Vice President, Program
Integrity, will be a featured presenter at the 31st Annual
National Association for Medicaid Program Integrity (NAMPI) Conference.
Mr. Fuhrman will present during the session titled “Effective Member
Integrity: How the Use of Enhanced, Continuous Eligibility Verification
and Risk Scoring Can Reduce Costs and Improve Service Delivery.” He
will highlight how states can maximize efforts to address fraud, waste
and abuse at the member level and will provide real-world examples from
successful projects, including those operated by MAXIMUS. Mr. Fuhrman
will share how states have used data aggregation, analytics and flexible
staffing models to improve eligibility processes, reduce waste, and
identify potential instances of fraud, and therefore improving their
member integrity.
“The need for better eligibility verification has become very clear over
the past few years,” said Bruce Caswell, President of MAXIMUS. “Several
states have conducted audits that showed health coverage was provided to
citizens who had moved out of state or who were deceased. Mr. Fuhrman
will discuss how states can achieve a more efficient eligibility
validation process that could potentially save millions of dollars for
taxpayers, while ensuring that citizens in need are receiving the right
benefits.”
In addition to the presentation, MAXIMUS will be a featured exhibitor at
the conference. MAXIMUS program integrity experts will highlight the
DecisionPoint for Program Integrity solution and demonstrate the
solution’s software tool. DecisionPoint for Program Integrity is part of
the DecisionPoint set of solutions, which provide states with actionable
information to make better, faster and more accurate program decisions.
The DecisionPoint for Program Integrity exhibit will be located at booth
#209.
NAMPI encompasses all 50 states and has members from various
