Thomas Romeo Named President of MAXIMUS Federal Services


RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced that it has appointed Thomas Romeo to serve as President of MAXIMUS Federal Services. In his new role, Mr. Romeo is tasked with the operations and strategic expansion efforts for the Company’s growing federal business. He will report to Bruce Caswell, President and General Manager of the Health Services Segment.

Mr. Romeo brings extensive government contracting, information technology and management experience to the Company. He orchestrated the delivery of large projects to several federal agencies, including the Census Bureau, the Department of Commerce and the United States Postal Service. Prior to joining MAXIMUS, he has served a senior executive for health and human services at Accenture and in various capacities at IBM, including Vice President of the Federal Division and Director of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for the finance industry.

MAXIMUS currently provides mission-critical support and administration to multiple federal programs and agencies, including external reviews for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Office of Personnel Management, the Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work Program, and investigative services for the Department of Justice. Mr. Romeo will lead the Company’s expansion in the federal health and human services market by building on the Company’s established foothold. MAXIMUS sees new opportunities to extend many of its core capabilities, such as contact center operations and case management, to additional agencies in the federal market.
