MAXIMUS Special Education Case Management System Selected by Chicago Public Schools

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

MAXIMUS (NYSE:MMS), The Chicago Board of Education has selected MAXIMUS and its TIENET(TM) special education case management system for district-wide implementation. The two-year project valued at $5.4 million will enable Chicago's teachers and special education service providers to prepare fully-compliant Individual Education Programs.

The MAXIMUS TIENET(TM) system is part of a multi-year implementation for Chicago's IMPACT project for the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) that includes the installation of a student information system and a Curriculum and Instruction Management system. Chicago's implementation is on track to be completed by May 2008.

MAXIMUS TIENET(TM) was selected through a competitive bidding process and a stringent review that included teachers, administrators, providers, technology experts, and district project personnel. In addition, by using a full case management system, staff will be able to collect, analyze and report student achievement data to improve student performance and develop reports and communication for parents, teachers, administrators, and Board members.
