MAXIMUS Expands Presence with New Medical Assistance Managed Care Enrollment Broker Contract for Pennsylvania

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYSE:MMS) announced today that it has signed a new contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW) to provide enrollment broker services for the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance program, further strengthening its market-leading position as the premier provider of Medicaid and CHIP managed care services.
Under the contract, MAXIMUS will provide a full range of managed care education and enrollment services, including call center operations housed locally in Harrisburg. In addition, working closely with DPW, the Company will lead the development of education and outreach initiatives statewide and develop collateral materials to inform consumers and stakeholders of key aspects of the program. As part of the outreach component, the Company has already launched a new consumer-friendly website (www.enrollnow.net). As part of this contract, MAXIMUS also handles the enrollment of special populations into the State's HealthChoices and ACCESS Plus managed care plans. To streamline operations, MAXIMUS is in the process of launching several technological efficiencies, including enhanced reporting and data analysis, and the deployment of workforce management software.
