MAXIMUS Awarded Three-Year, $11 Million (CDN) Administrative Services Contract for the Ontario Drug Benefit Program

- Company to Provide Enrollment and Account Support for Nearly Three Million Ontario Citizens -

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYSE:MMS) announced today that it has signed a new contract with the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to provide administrative services for the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) Program. The three-year contract runs through March 31, 2015, at which time the Province may exercise option periods up to seven years. If all options are exercised, the total contract value is approximately $43 million (CDN) over 10 years.

The ODB program provides support to nearly three million Ontario citizens with drug benefit coverage under the Seniors Co-payment Program or Trillium Drug Program. Under the contract, MAXIMUS will provide program support through a customer contact center in the Greater Toronto Area, where the Company will process applications, renewals, change notifications and receipts, including drug receipts for reimbursement. MAXIMUS will also establish full document management services and implement information privacy and security management as part of this streamlined operational service delivery model.
