MAXIMUS to Host Live Event on February 6 About Opportunities for State Innovation in Health Insurance Programs

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that the Company will host a live event featuring a distinguished panel of experts discussing new approaches that states can take for the design and operations of their health insurance programs. The event will take place at Knight Conference Center at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. on Friday, February 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (ET) and will also be broadcast online.

Panel participants will discuss creative ideas for states to implement under Section 1332 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as the 2017 State Innovation Waiver. The in-depth conversation is designed to touch on all points of the waiver and address how it can offer states greater flexibility for providing health insurance coverage for their citizens, as well as developing new initiatives for managing their Medicaid programs. Specifically, the event aims to provide attendees with an understanding of how the waiver can help states:
