MAXIMUS Foundation Contributes More Than $15,000 to Midwest Disaster Relief

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that the MAXIMUS Foundation has made a donation of more than $15,000 in employee contributions and corporate matching funds to Habitat for Humanity International, to aid disaster relief efforts in the Midwest region of the United States.

The MAXIMUS Foundation is the philanthropic arm of MAXIMUS, providing financial assistance to many of the same disadvantaged populations and local communities that MAXIMUS serves as an operator of health and human services programs. The MAXIMUS Foundation is completely funded by MAXIMUS and its employees, and provides grants to local community organizations with programs and projects in the areas of health, child and youth development, and community development.

Donations provided by the MAXIMUS Foundation have assisted Habitat for Humanity’s disaster response program to provide shelter assistance, education, training and partnerships to those affected by the recent severe weather in Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Thousands of homes were destroyed and many more were damaged as a result of torrential rainfall, flooding and tornadoes. Habitat for Humanity has responded to major disasters across the world, including Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Haiti’s earthquake in 2010 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
