- DecisionPoint for Long-Term Services & Supports to Debut Today at the National Home and Community Based Services Conference -

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that it has released DecisionPointTM for Long-Term Services & Supports (LTSS). The solution delivers innovative approaches to helping states improve the management and care coordination of growing and increasingly complex programs that support senior citizens, persons with disabilities and dual eligibles. DecisionPoint for LTSS will debut today at the National Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Conference in Washington, D.C.

DecisionPoint for LTSS provides advanced methodologies for care coordination that leverage new technology, provide enhanced customer service, and apply pioneering workforce strategies to reduce costs and improve outcomes for this growing population. It provides design, development and operational support for state programs, including pre-enrollment and post-enrollment services for beneficiaries. With a focus on shifting the care for this population from institutions to home and community-based settings, DecisionPoint for LTSS is designed around a patient-centered model. The solution applies best practices from decades of MAXIMUS experience in both supporting state Medicaid programs and working with nine of the eleven Financial Alignment Demonstrations for Medicare and Medicaid Eligibles, commonly known as the Dual Eligibles Demonstrations.

“In its Final Report to Congress in 2013, the Commission on Long-Term Care projected that by 2050, 20 percent of the total population will be at least 65 years old, up from 12 percent in 2000,” said Bruce Caswell, President of MAXIMUS. “This projected growth in the number of beneficiaries seeking assistance from long-term services and supports programs will put a heavy strain on existing state programs. DecisionPoint for Long-Term Services & Supports will help states implement new models that manage this growth and find cost savings, while delivering better health outcomes through improved care coordination.”

The National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD) HCBS Conference is the premiere LTSS conference in the country, showcasing innovative national, federal, state and local policy and care delivery developments that work to ensure individuals receive the highest quality community living supports, care and services. The conference takes place from August 31 to September 3, 2015 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. To learn more, visit www.nasuad.org/hcbs-conference.
