RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that it has been named one of the 2017 World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune Magazine, attaining the rank of number eight within the Company’s industry sector. This is the first time MAXIMUS has been included on the list.

Fortune collaborated with Korn Ferry Hay Group to determine the best-regarded companies in 51 industries. Korn Ferry Hay Group asked senior executives, directors, and analysts to rate companies in their own industry in nine key areas: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness. As a listed company, MAXIMUS achieved a score that ranked in the top half of its industry survey.
