RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services
worldwide, announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract for
the development, implementation, and management of the Hawai’i Health
Connector’s Customer Service Contact Center and Support Service. The
contract, which starts on June 16, 2013, has a three-year base period
and two one-year option periods. If the client chooses to exercise these
option periods, the total contract value is approximately $12 million.
Under the contract, MAXIMUS will establish and run the Customer Service
Contact Center for the Hawai’i Health Connector (the Connector). The
Connector is an online health insurance marketplace created to help
individuals and small businesses take advantage of the health insurance
choices available to them through a “one-stop” shopping experience. The
customer service contact center will receive inquiries from consumers
through multiple communication channels, including telephone assistance,
e-mail, postal mail, web chat and fax. The contact center will be based
in Oahu and will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. HST, seven days a week,
starting in mid-September.
